Allerton Grange High School

Allerton Grange

Welcome to Allerton Grange

Allerton Grange is a thriving, all-ability, multi-cultural school with 1509 students on roll. Most of the  270 students in our highly successful sixth form have been with us since Year 7: this illustrates the confidence in our school and in the  quality of teaching and examination success we achieve. We have  expanded our sixth form courses to include popular options such as  Information Technology and Law.

The new Allerton Grange - a Specialist Arts College

We moved into our new building in September 2009. All of the furniture and I.T. equipment is brand new and state of the art: Our new building boasts superb I.T., Art, Music, Drama and Sports facilities. In short, we now have a learning environment that our students and staff deserve and that will be the envy of all.

Exceptionally Inclusive

We combine the benefits of a large school, with its many opportunities to study a wide range of subjects, with a friendly environment which is socially and culturally varied. Our aim is that your child is safe, taught well and is encouraged to develop his/her skills and talents. That is why a recent Ofsted inspection judged our approach to community cohesion and student care, support and guidance as 'outstanding'.

Once again, we begin a new academic year celebrating some outstanding examination results. Our summer 2011 results show a 20% increase in the proportion of our students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE and our already strong A Level results improved even further, placing us in the top 10% of A Level providers nationally.

We will all work hard this year to continue to provide outstanding support for our students and further improve examination outcomes.
