During the Easter Break, 40 Allerton Grange students from years 7,8,9 and 10 competed against other European schools in the Annual International schools football Tournament in France, held at the Audruicq Stadium.

During the four day tournament the Allerton Grange lads battled their way through the heats but lost out in the finals amidst stiff competition from European school teams from France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

Matt Rogers, Team PE Allerton Grange School and trip organizer said the facilities were excellent for their first stay at the Sportica Complex in Gravelines, 25 minutes from Calais. The AGS group of lads integrated well with the other European teams, making many new friends. The organizers were so impressed with the talent and attitude of the AGS lads that they’ve invited them to compete again next year!

The latest football news from Team PE at Allerton Grange is that the year 10 football team qualified last night (27th April) for the forthcoming Leeds Schools Cup Final and whilst they anticipate a tough match on the day, they are confident that they will bring this title home.

See the thank you letter on the left from one of the parents!
