BTEC
Over the last few years the school has diversified its curriculum in order to better help students along the way to achieving their goals and their dreams.
This has resulted in an increase in the number of our students who are studying for BTEC qualifications.
BTECs offer a practical experience that is often lacking in more traditional routes such as GCSE In BTEC students have to undertake a number of units for which they provide evidence based on real-life work and studies.
Academic study and the pressure of exams don’t suit all students. On a BTEC, progress is measured throughout their course, allowing the student to gauge their own performance on a continuing basis.
Current BTECs subjects at Allerton Grange include:
- · Applied Science
- · Art & Design
- · Business Studies
- · Health & Social Care
- · Performing Arts and Music
- · Sport
You can find out more specific details about the courses from the individual subject areas.
From this page you can get more general information about the BTEC organisation and policies at Allerton Grange school.
