Citizenship

  • Subject Information

All two year students are expected to complete an additional AS level in Citizenship. It requires students to attend one lesson per week during their time in sixth form. The course is structured in order to maximise your potential while in sixth form, not only in the form of additional qualifications but also in enhancing your understanding of society and the world in which we live at a time when you most begin to question your own place in the world.

The skills you learn in Citizenship will help you in all your other studies at sixth form and beyond.

  • Entry Requirements

All 2 year students are eligible for the course.

  • Course Outline

Year 12 - AS

2 Modules, Rights and Responsibilities and Democracy are both assessed by an external examination of 90 minutes and 75 minutes respectively.

Year 13 - A2

  • Future Prospects
