Government & Politics

  • Subject Information

You will study contemporary political events and organisation of democracy in Britain and later in the USA. Politics would suit anyone who wants to understand how our nation is ruled and their part in that process. You’ll need to be interested in the news and current affairs. How are decisions made that affect us? Who makes them? You will soon be able to vote, and you need to be informed.

Subjects that would complement politics include history, sociology, business, geography and psychology.

  • Entry Requirements

Whilst there are no specific entry requirements, you will need to be confident with written work and so a GCSE grade C in English would help.
