15th June 2011 Tennis City Champs!

On Wednesday 15th June, 2 Alerton Grange year 8 students,  Oscar Bailey and Ivan Parslow, attended the tennis city finals. During the tournament they beat the following schools:

Crawshaw 6-0, Royds 6-0, Abbey Grange 6-2, Roundhay 6-1

This means they are now under 13 doubles city champions and will be going on to represent Leeds at the West Yorkshire finals on Monday 27th June.

13th May 2011 Football Cup Finals!

Team PE are pleased to inform you that two of Allerton Grange football teams have made it through to the final of their Leeds Schools FA cup competition!

The year 7 team are playing their cup final against Corpus Christi on Monday (16th May) at South Leeds Stadium, and their game will kick off promptly at 4.00pm.

The year 10 team are playing against Wetherby in their cup final on Wednesday (18th May), again at South Leeds Stadium, and their kick-off time will be approximately 5.30pm.

The lads from both teams would really appreciate as much support as possible for their games, and both teams have a very realistic chance of bringing home the silverware, so come down and share in their glory!!

South Leeds Stadium have set a charge of £3 for adults and £2 for students on the door, but I'm sure you will agree that it's a small price to pay for witnessing a piece of AGS history!

Please tell as many pupils as possible, as last year we were outnumbered in the stands! Once again, your support will be greatly recieved and we look forward to seeing you all at the games!

Well done to the year 7 rounders team who won all 4 matches last night against Lanswood, Allerton High, David Yound and Roundhay!
