I want to apologise again for the inconvenience caused by the recent school closures.  On each occasion I arrived in school very early with the full intention of keeping the school open.  Unfortunately, in new BSF schools like ours, the school no longer has control or responsibility for site management.  On the three days we closed, we had a variety of problems related to erratic gas supply and/or lack of gritting of the school drive and site.  I had little choice but to close the school.  We have been working very closely with our Facilities Management partners who assure us that those problems should not recur.
