What do I do if....?
Your child is ill and cannot attend school:
- phone school on the main number to be directed to student absences.
- complete the relevant absence note in your child's planner. This must be handed to their Form Tutor on the first day back at school.
You have any concerns regarding your child:
- the Form Tutor should be the first point of contact.
- for more serious, "delicate" matters you may wish to speak directly to the Achievement Leader.
There's been a heavy snowfall:
- during the school day: school will close if it seems likely that public transport will cease to run within the following hour. Pupils who cannot be sure of getting into their homes or that of a relative or friend should stay in school for supervision by senior staff. Pupils must contact parents to let them know of their whereabouts.
- overnight: If the decision is made not to open the school, local radio stations will be notified.
- School closures are also listed on the BBC Leeds website: www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/. If you think the school may be closed, please check either of these sources of information.
- Will we add information to the latest news section of this website

- medicine must be delivered in a secure and clearly labelled container.
