During years 7- 9 work includes:

Mark-making, tone, texture, colour, shape, line and pattern.

Experiments with media and learning to handle different materials. drawing skills, basic perspective and proportion.

Divergent approaches to the study of portraiture, landscapes and Still Life.

The opportunity to look at the work of artists and cultures in relation to their own work and in the context of art history.

Research for own resources, find out about different artists.

By year 9, pupils will have an opportunity to purse individual ideas within the framework of a project and theme.
