Health and Social Care
Health & Social Care is one of the vocational subjects offered at Allerton Grange School.
The subject can be studied as a BTEC First Diploma (equivalent to 4 GCSEs), as a two-year course in years 10 and 11 and also as a one-year course in the sixth form.
It is also a GCE option and can be taken as a single or double A-level in the sixth form.
At all levels students learn about:
- the influences of society and of personal choices on health;
- the organisation of health, social care and early years services
- the skills needed to work in those services
- the rights of service users
