The increasing use of technology in all aspects of society makes confident, creative and productive use of ICT an essential skill for life. ICT is fundamental to participation and engagement in modern society.

ICT can be used to find, develop, analyse and present information, as well as to model situations and solve problems. ICT enables rapid access to ideas and experiences from a wide range of people, communities and cultures, and allows pupils to collaborate and exchange information on a wide scale.

The ICT Department at Allerton Grange has the responsibility of ensuring that all students gain the essential skills and qualifications that we believe are vital to life at Allerton Grange and beyond. The department helps our pupils develop their understanding of the social, ethical, legal and economic implications of ICT in our society; this includes how to use ICT safely and responsibly.

As well as specific support for the qualifications we offer the department also offers a number of extra curricular activities:

  • Residential Courses
  • Lunch Time & After School ICT Club
