Maths
Department Information
Maths is one of the core subjects which all pupils up to year 11 study. It is essential for all pupils to gain the best qualification they can in Maths by the end of year 11. We have a dedicated team of 9 specialist teachers and an HLTA working to inspire and engage all the pupils at Allerton Grange and to help them achieve their very best in Maths.

Information for all year groups
Pupils are taught in sets based on ability from year 7. Pupils are placed in the groups that will facilitate them in making the best progress in Maths. All pupils are formally assessed at least once a term and should expect to receive homework every week.

Pupils will require the usual school equipment for all lessons plus a scientific calculator.
