RS

The RS department at Allerton Grange consists of an enthusiastic team of staff who each have their own specialist area of knowledge within world Religions, Philosophy and Ethics.  We follow the Leeds Locally Agreed Syllabus which encourages students to study and understand the ways that people live in their immediate community.  As teachers we do not seek to convert students to any particular faith and belief; rather to encourage understanding, broad-mindedness, acceptance of and respect for all deeply-held convictions.  In addition we explore what can be learned from the different religions in order that students can develop their own beliefs and values.
