The aim of the Spanish Curriculum Area is to encourage learners to derive enjoyment from learning Spanish.  Through language learning we expect to give our students linguistic knowledge, understanding and skills which will enable them to take their place in a multilingual global society.  Learning Spanish will also provide our students with a basis for further study and practical use.  We also prepare our learners to make informed decisions about further language learning opportunities and career choices.
