Youth service
Allerton Grange School works with the Leeds Youth service on a regular basis.
Leeds Youth Service delivers a range of youth work sessions across the city for young people aged between 11-19 years old. These activities range from youth club sessions making use of local venues, i.e. community centres/church’s/schools, we have a converted van we use as a mobile youth club, street based teams who engage young people wherever they congregate, drop in sessions where workers are on hand to offer a range of information and support to young people, we also deliver sport based sessions.
At all of these sessions young people let the youth workers know what they want to do which the workers then deliver, putting young people in charge of their youth clubs. Depending on the venue equipment like table tennis, pool tables, arts and crafts, Nintendo Wii’s and other games/resources are available, and groups can often use the kitchens to cook healthy meals and snacks.
For information on what is delivered in other areas of the city please refer to the Breeze website www.breezeleeds.org which is updated monthly.
